Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) and Intranasal Therapy
rTMS Therapy
The Daintree Clinic is proud to offer Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS) as an innovative, non-invasive treatment option for a variety of mental health conditions. rTMS is an evidence-based therapy that utilizes magnetic pulses to stimulate specific regions of the brain, offering relief to those suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, and other disorders.
We are delighted to inform you that the Daintree Clinic offers rTMS bulk billed to all patients who are Medicare eligible or funded by the Department of Veteran Affairs.
rTMS Process
- Referral from either a General Practitioner or Psychiatrist
- Prescription and Treatment Mapping with our Psychiatrist in Townsville
- Initial course of 35 rTMS sessions with our rTMS trained nurse in Townsville
- Telehealth review with Psychiatrist
DVA/Medicare will rebate a further 15 rTMS retreatment sessions after a four-month period.
Intranasal Therapy
This is an effective treatment for patients who have not responded adequately and safely to other treatments. This is an intranasal medication that is offered as a rapid acting treatment for major depressive disorder.
This treatment is available through the PBS and The Department of Veterans Affairs.

- Referral from either a General Practitioner or Psychiatrist
- Consultation with our Psychiatrist
- Induction and maintenance sessions are offered with our registered nurse in Townsville
- Telehealth review with Psychiatrist
